Nightingale
A dark and moody 1990s hero, partnered with Sunbird.
History
Equipment
In addition to being a skilled acrobat and martial artist, she can project a mist-like field of darkness.
As Sunbird is the super-powered half of the team, this would seem to be a function built into Nightingale's costume rather than a bonafide power.
Speculations, Theories
- It's wildly speculated that Nightingale and Sunbird are lesbians, but they neither confirm nor deny the allegations. It has also been speculated that they might be sisters, or perhaps a mother and daughter team of crime-fighters.
- Based on a partially blocked headline reading "Darklings Crushed by Sunhawk and Nightingale," from all outward appearances, Sunbird has changed her name.
- Besides their partnership, there seems to be an informal camaraderie among these street fighting superheroes. A common core of them seem to associate with each other on many occasions. Crackerjack, Jack-in-the-Box, Quarrel, Sunbird, and Nightingale cross paths on a regular basis. Depending on the time-range, you might also throw Street Angel into the mix, along with the Irregulars.
