E.A.G.L.E.
HistoryA law enforcement agency that uses extensive advanced technology, charged with handling situations of an extranormal nature (the Extranormal Activities Garrison for Law Enforcement). Their main duties involve the tying up of loose ends after a super-criminal's been defeated, such as moving the malefactor to an incarceration facility or dismantling his/her base of operations. While they seldom participate in the actual take-down of threats the way the superheroes do, it is not completely unheard of. They also had an Omega-Security Holding Facility in Murfreesboro, Tennessee in the early 1970s. In 1977, they arrived on the scene to investigate The Incarnate in his debut to the public and naturally tried to bring in the Apollo Eleven. Although they frequently deal with Pyramid, 1982 featured some of their biggest known clashes. In April of that year they completed a series of daring raids on Pyramid training camps in upstate New York, rural Alabama, the North Dakota Badlands and in Wheeler, a town close to Astro City. These series of raids put a dent in Pyramid's organziation for a few years. In 1997 they were called in to help register super heroes in Astro City in what turned out to be the Enelsian Invasion. The arrival of The Doors over the Gaines River attracted E.A.G.L.E. attention along with superheroes. Commander Flint called for a massive air strike before it was curtailed by Samaritan and other heroes. EquipmentE.A.G.L.E. has always featured some of the highest level of technologies over almost every military. But when dealing with super powered beings and other super natural threats it is required. Everything from floating platforms to the highest grade weapons are at E.A.G.L.E.'s disposal. HeadquartersTheir former central headquarters was a mountain facility in the Rockies called the Aerie, but the organization has since relocated. It's unknown where the group has moved its main headquarters since then. ObservationsTheir former commander was Flannery Hawk, who turned away from being Air Force Chief of Staff for the position. It's unknown when the group was founded but it's possible Hawk was the first leader of the group, as he appeared at least in his 60s in 1982.
