ummm...
Unless the site is DC or Busiek in origin, let's restrain ourselves from grabbing images from other sites, especially when that site has taken the time to edit the image. Yea they source from the same comic book images, but let's still not do it please.
Thanks.

Gotcha. Though it seemed like a lot of the ones I saw there(*****), were took from here or very similar...What about comics.org where we went for our cover images and info, or similar sites? And speaking of covers, when we made the publication pages, did we use cover images with lettering and trade dress or just the image?

For Cover images:
When we can, let's get something with trade-dress and something in the 1024x range. Currently, some of the ones on our main page are huge, and lack dress. Huge is expensive to download (although we are caching pages so that helps). But I will probably go back in there someday and make them smaller. The ones that lack dress, are because I don't have the issue to scan, or it is not posted with dress at Vertigo.
Using Comics.org is an ok source since they "allow" downloding/copying. However, even their large images already look mushy, and they are using image compression to store the images, which is the main reason for the mush. So in order of preference, something from Busiek.com or Vertigo. With Dress if possible, and we should default to a size (yet to be determined, let me do some checking). For covers, almost anything is better than nothing, but I'm pretty sure we can do better than comics.org even if it means scanning the covers ourselves. Something I was doing for a lot of covers on the old site.
Other Images:
If you think an image at another site originated from Herocopia, please be able to validate. Yea there are some at the site you reference...
I'll post some additional guidelines on this on our help page soon.
Thanks again.
