Monstro City

The underwater home of a race of intelligent monsters, located in the area of the Bermuda Triangle and the Atlantic Plains. Described by Rex as "A jewel in the ocean depths."

History

Madame Majestrix is the queen and ruler of the city. Her son Prince Rex Zorus and his daughter Princess Astra Jeannine Majestros-Furst are second and third in line to the throne, respectively.

When last seen, in the mid-90s, the city was in a demolished and abandoned state, almost all of its inhabitants vanished -- the result of a war with the underwater beings known as the Trenchers. It's unknown when this took place, but it would have seemed like only a recent happening and that Monstro City rebuilt itself over time.

Monstro City had a long ago lunar colony. In 1984 one member awoke from the dead and attempted to crash the moon into the Earth before being stopped by the First Family.

Population

The residents of Monstro City vary widely in form, color, and size, looking not so much like one species as many different ones. There were over a million residents at one time.
Judging by their names and that of Bertos Grimlar Seneschal, the naming convention of Monstro City seems to be to use the surname as a designator of profession.
Madame Majestrix's army is known as her Monster Troops by the rest of the world.

Equipment

While most or all of its inhabitants cannot breathe underwater, the city is surrounded by the Atmo-Sphere, a bubble-shaped forcefield which holds back the ocean. The residents of Monstro City vary widely in form, color, and size, looking not so much like one species as many different ones.
