The cases, battles and exploits of Honor Guard.
1959
Late Summer/Early Fall:
- The group formed to combat the Legions of Midnight. [1]
- A few weeks later the group, along with the Bouncing Beatnik and the Old Soldier, defeated Shirak and his Ravagers, who were attempting to take over Earth. Witnessed by reporter Elliot Mills though the story could not be verified until years later(Likely in last weeks of August or first of September). [1]
- In between their formation and the case below they fought Kroseth the Invader, Commissar Hammer and the Steel Sickle, and the Beast-Men at different times.[2]
October 14:
- First big clash with Pyramid, which had tried to kidnap the Mercury 7 Astronauts.Later battled with them in Bakerville.[3]
1964
February 19:
- Tracked down a Pyramid base possibly located in Mexico City.[4]
Unknown:
- Fought the Myth-Master.[5] See Myth-Master Incident
1970
March:

April 30:
- Fought with Dr. Gearbox and his giant Robosaur which malfunctioned costing the Dr. his life.[7]
1972
September 27-28:
- Broke the L.S.Deviant's tropogenic field on Earth and his connection to his alien puppeteers. This was part of a larger cosmic extra-terrestrial war.[8]
1973
Early March:
- Looking in Khanistan for clues to help prove the Silver Agent's innocence.[9]
April 11:
- Stops the Assemblyman's robot in Los Angeles and discovers El Hombre's involvement.[10]
Mid-Late April:
- Investigated the mysterious pylons showing up all over North America. Fought Madame Majestrix and an army from Monstro City alongside other superheroes. See Madame Majestrix's Invasion.[11]
1974
August 16:
- Tangled with an alien spacecraft and sent it back out into the void. Known members - N-Forcer, Starfighter.[12]
1976
December:
- Saved the Infra-Dauphin from a vast "alien armada" and and as a reward the group got to witness the birth of a new generation of Universals.[13]
1982
Late March/Early April:
- Fought with the Olympians multiple times as part of another big cosmic war and involving "ancient gods".[14]
May 3:
- Met a time-traveling Silver Agent at the Falls. Together with the Agent and the First Family, they rescued the Apollo Eleven from PYRAMID and defeated Kerresh the Devastator, during the Rise of Kerresh the Devastator. In the aftermath the group helped to repair a tear in reality.[15][16]
1983
October 13:
- Several members captured The Weirdies in Northern California. Known member- N-Forcer.[17]
1984
July:
- Tracked down the Iron Colonel in the Andes and did battle with him, after finding out his involvement with Dr. Norton Ganss in making Las Vegas a wreck.
- A few days later were helping restore order to Astro City with the Silver Agent during the Final Crisis Point.
1991
January/February:
- Battled the Destructoids.[18]
1995
August 8:
- Stopped a robbery by the Menagerie Gang at the AstroBank City Center branch.[19]
October:
- Clashed with the Disastroids.[20]
Early/Mid November:
- Tried unsuccessfully to reapprehend The Unholy Alliance around the Quad Cities.[21]
1996
Early January:
- Members covered for Samaritan and Winged Victory's first date. N-Forcer and Quarrel with Crackerjack, dealt with an avalanche in Montana. Cleopatra II a tornado in Topeka, Kansas, M.P.H. with various criminals and Beautie got Goldenboy in San Francisco. Black Rapier and N-Forcer with the First Family fought with Wotan in Chicago.[22]
July/Late Summer:
- Captured the Conquerlord at the United Nations building.[23]
September:
- Various team members, alongside other heroes, protected Astro City from Thunderhead's attempted destruction of the city.[24]
1997
July 3:
- Stopped a Pyramid Assault Team from killing members of the United Nations. [25]
Mid-to-Late July:
- Defeated the Frigians and the Thermians in Antarctica.
[26] - Protected Shadow Hill from an angry mob with the Irregulars. [27]
July 27-28:
- Captured an Enelsian scout ship in outer space and continued to try and study its origins over the next week. [28]
August 5:
- Protected Astro City and defeated the Enelsians. See Enelsian Invasion.[29]
1998
November:
- Fought with the Unholy Alliance in Detroit who were part of The Conquistador's Plot. Later various flying members of the group helped bring in the Conquistador.[30]
2000
August:
- Protected the Crimson Cougar from the Unholy Alliance.[31]
2002
December 17:
- Defeated and captured Kroseth IV of Antares, who had been hiding as a house in the Goldwater Heights neighborhood.[32]
2004
August:
- Dealt with a Pyramid raid on Zurich, Switzerland.[33]
Early to Mid-October:
- Along with the First Family and other heroes, helped defeat the recently awakened Omnius Rex.[34]
2008
April:
- Repelled a Torori invasion likely near Jupiter Station and were aided by the new Hummingbird.[35]
2013
- Destroyed Lord Volcanus's seismic cannon, his latest attempt to conquer the surface world.
- Fought Kroseth the Invader. In the middle, sent Samaritan off to deal solo with a separate crisis, the Skullcrushers' attempted robbery of the cruiser Sea Princess.
- Made a charity appearance in Australia. The money went to building a new hospital wing. ("Welcome to HumanoGlobal")
- Laid siege to the Skullcrushers' hidden base in Ecuador. While the Black Rapier coordinated between the team and E.A.G.L.E. units, the Assemblyman, aided by Quarrel and Wolfspider, tried unsuccessfully to breach their forcefields. He was eventually able to create a portal straight into the base by locking on to the ID badge of Honor Guard employee Marella Cowper who'd been taken inside. ("Mistakes")
Unknown Dates
- Early in the group's career they fought with Tritonian slavers and seized the Repli-Matrix.[36]
- Sometime in the mid-1960's they tangled with Pyramid, with the 1964 lineup. Possibly Feb 1964 above.[37]
- Provided some kind of evidence that the Iron Ninja was associated with Lord Talon. Likely 1969, but sometime before 1982 presumably.
- Had fought with the Mad Maharajah numerous times by 1972.[38]
- Fought a horde of green aliens presumably sometime in the 1970s as seen on tapestry in Honor Guard Headquarters. Known members- Starfighter, Hummingbird I, The Living Nightmare. Possibly events from Dec 1976.[39]
