The Brass Monkey

The Brass Monkey is an Astro City crime boss who, as his name implies, is literally a brass monkey.

History

The Brass Monkey was formerly a janitor at Fox-Broome University, that used an experimental device there to transfer his mind into a brass monkey statue. He planned to use this metal body to commit crimes, but when his real body was killed, he found himself stuck in that form.

His underlings, the Gorilla Troops, are regular humans who wear gorilla masks and army camouflage. His primary foe is Jack-in-the-Box and he has faced all three incarnation of the harlequin hero.

Powers

Made of solid brass through and through, the Brass Monkey possesses super-strength. He is strong enough to easily tear through Jack-in-the-Box's confetti. He also possesses all the agility one would expect of a monkey.
