|notes = The Wasting is a paradoxical dark event that was going to happen sometime in the future. It didn't however, thanks the time traveling interventions by [[Jack-in-the-Box (Zachary Johnson)|Jack-in-the-Box]] and presumably the 1990s [[Irregulars]].  It's unclear what exactly "The Wasting" is, and who, or what is responsible for it. When it was supposed to happen is also a bit unclear, only that it was or it might happen in the future.
