Thatcher Jerome

Thatcher Jerome is in charge of the mob's operations on and around the Gaines River. A man of ambition, he's looking to rise even higher in the ranks. Or he once was...

History

Thatcher Jerome began his criminal career as an errand boy for Stoke Jackson, a Bakerville pharmacist with a sideline in crime. From those humble beginnings, he steadily rose through the ranks over the years by seizing each opportunity for advancement ("open doors," as he liked to think of them) when it came. Along the way, he married a stripper he used to frequent, Rachel, and had two children, Janie and Thomas.

By 2013, he ran all the mob's operations in and around the Gaines River. In the underworld hierarchy, this was only four steps below the Deacon himself. Thus, when the Ambassador took up residence on the river, Thatcher did not let the fact that the newcomer was some unknowable manner of extraterrestrial life stop him from delivering the obligatory shakedown. However, to his surprise, the Ambassador chose to enter a fruitful business deal with him, wherein Thatch would purchase and whatever Earth goods the enigmatic god required.

One time, while delivering the latest round of items to the Ambassador, Thatcher's greed got the better of him and he stole a briefcase-like object...
