JB I think I got it figured out. Or least how to copy and paste and play around with it. Only thing I couldn't get was to get the cover image a part of, but now I'm thinking about it, probably because I didn't include a parameter part for it. But that can do without.

Cover image is now passed to the template as a parameter. Hard-coded the formatting on each issue's page, was causing layout problems. All the issues need to comply with this, I only change a few.--Infobroker (talk) 22:57, 17 November 2015 (PST)
New parameters for this template
previous for building a link to the previous issue.
next for building a link to the previous issue.
notes <self-defining> I noticed that these were being coded directly on the page. There are problems with that, including the fact that placement of them were inconsistent. Sometimes outside and sometimes inside the template boundaries (which may not have looked like a problem, but the whole clause was being attached to other parameters like "reprinted." They made editing new stuff (like previous and next) sticky. All the pages that have notes now, need to upgrade to using the new parameter passing method.--Infobroker (talk) 22:55, 17 November 2015 (PST)
- The parameters for covers, previous and next links is complete. I have traversed the issue links, forward and back. I think they are working correctly.
- The formatting will only work if you pass the cover image name to the template. If you use the old methods, the page layout will be a mess and look like amateurs work. Please do all the layout work in the template going forward.
- Thanks--Infobroker (talk) 19:29, 18 November 2015 (PST)
Another new parameter just added
lettercol this is merely an external link to the online letters column at busiek.com that is associated with this particular issue of Astro City. It links to the extension of online letters for that particular issue of Astro City, not the issue that mainly talks about it. It is a simple external link.
It looks like this:
http://busiek.com/site/2015/10/31/astro-city-mail-october/
I have done issue #28 as a sample. It is very basic fixup. As time permits I will continue on the rest of them. Others are welcome to join the fun.
Thanks. --Infobroker (talk) 10:40, 23 November 2015 (PST)
Layout changes part 1 - Narrative Voice
This adds a visual (meant to be the old buttons from astrocity.us website - or similar) to this options, giving it a bit more visual importance. New parameter added to insert the image. I will be adding more as I get time.
There is also a way to do a roll-your-own layout as an alternative. This is provided when there is more than one narrator. It is not really intended to vary to general layout provided, but hey, like I always say, these are guidelines, and if you have a good reason for building an alternate, go for it.--Infobroker (talk) 18:33, 11 April 2016 (PDT)
