"Her Dark Plastic Roots" was originally published in Astro City Special: Beautie.
A very touching, tender story of an artificial being struggling with the mystery of her past, made all the more difficult since she is also struggling with a programming flaw that impedes her from retaining any information that might aid in her solving just exactly who she is, and where she came from.
