History Maxie Costello, a former boxer with a knack for tinkering, turned criminal after discovering a pair of alien golden gloves worn by a skeleton in a crashed spaceship. But, like most of the other residents in the Kiefer Square area, every time he got a hold of some money, almost all of it went back into his criminal endeavors, whether it be for testing or more sophisticated equipment. He once bought a blimp, that he converted into a submarine, only to have to destroy it and fake his death, after the Street Angel was tracking him. After getting killed the by the blask mask killer in 1998, his daughter took his gloves and became the new Goldenglove for a time. Equipment His gloves gave their wearer super-strength, and possible other powers that his daughter discovered upon her acquiring the gloves.
