He makes a one panel appearance and then mixes it up a bit on the cover of the latest issue of Astro City. Now he features himself on the Main Page of Herocopia. Some super-heroes sure are pushy.
There is no blueprint for how to become a super-hero, but Brian Kinney has a plan. A high risk decision to move to Astro City, an area saturated with superheroes. There he hopes to mingle and learn, and with luck perhaps a chance as a side-kick or assistant to an already established mask. It's not like it hasn't happened before. His break comes sooner than he expected. He also didn't expect the Confessor to be the one to offer the chance for him to be Altar Boy.
She was looking for work. Something stop-gap to help with day-to-day expenses until a real job came along. So who knows. It might have been just the right tag word in her resume, or perhaps someone already working for the company marked her as a strong candidate for the position as a Call Center Specialist. Then too, they put her through a large battery of tests when she applied for the position. Endlessly long tests, and even a psych exam. She was really getting suspicious.
