Mordecai Chalk
A professional monster-hunter and former parapsychologist radio host. He was contracted to Astro City in 1997 to track down the Shadow Hill Killer and nearly wound up killed by the creature.
Powers
Chalk is part man, part cyborg. Fashioned from cold iron and silver, with an onboard computer and embedded RAM memory containing volumes of occult lore. Chalk carries a shotgun that fires specialized charges from wolfsbane and holy water.
Observations
Chalk lost his leg to werewolves and an eye to demonic praying mantises.
