Lisette Palais The murder victim of Richard Forgione whose subsequent trial featured the infamous superhuman elements defense in 1974. History On March 15, 1974, while at the trendy night spot Tallarico's Palais and Richard Forgione grew into a heated argument. Allegedly it was over her friendship with another man. As the tensions grew, the confrontation became physical with Forgione striking her and Palais responding by throwing a drink in his face. Before anyone could react, Forgione in a violent outburst beat her to death with a vintage wine bottle in front of restaurant full of witnesses.
