Her Dark Plastic Roots

"Her Dark Plastic Roots" was originally published in Astro City Special: Beautie.

Synopsis

A very touching, tender story of an artificial being struggling with the mystery of her past, made all the more difficult since she is also struggling with a programming flaw that impedes her from retaining any information that might aid in her solving just exactly who she is, and where she came from.

Notes

  • As part of her legal proceedings to establish Beautie's identity as a full and independent citizen, her lawyer cited the case Looney Leo vs. Fargo's Funny Features as a precedent element in his legal brief. "Looney" would appear to be an alternate and apparently legal spelling of Loony Leo.
