The Crossbreed The Crossbreed were a group of heroes who believed that their powers came from God. They believed in using those powers to help spread God's word as well as to help people in need and fight villains. People mockingly called them the Jesus Freaks and they could be seen preaching the Gospel of Christ on street corners in Astro City. History They defeated Temblor in San Francisco and the Devil's Own in Montana sometime prior to the summer of 1997. During that summer they, along with a large ensemble of Astro City's heroes, helped defeat the invading Enelsian horde. The group disbanded sometime after the mid 2000s shortly following Noah's death. Each member going on their own particular life path. Powers Noah - Weather control. Torrents and lightning are his to command. Mary - Winged flight. Peter - Geokinesis. Daniel - A humanoid lion (or should that be lionoid human?). Also skilled in medicine. Joshua - Can unleash a destructive sonic shout. David - A giant. Equipment Their secret base was located in an ark on one of the rivers. Observations The Crossbreed choose their namesakes from Biblical figures whose stories their powers emulated. David, for example, is named after the hero who slew the giant-sized Goliath, while Peter's name alludes to the Biblical line "You are Peter, and on this rock I will build my Church."
