At one point he considered sparing humanity, choosing Crackerjack as the basis for his decision. Not surprisingly, the egotistical hero showed the alien only the worst that Earth had to offer. In spite of this, Bridwell still considered sparing the Earth, but in the end he sent the message initiating the invasion. Later, this advance scout helped the Enelsian effort to weaken Earth's defenses by discrediting superheroes, taking on the Bridwell form when necessary to navigate undetected among Earthlings.
