Synopsis[edit]
Steeljack is on the way back to prison, the only problem is "Like hell I am". Carl uses his weight, not his strength to escape and he goes on the run. One of the Conqusitador's robots tries to kill him and he's able to escape and whilst he's on the move, he remembers back to all the memories of the Black Masks of Keifer Square and that drives him onwards.
Arriving in Chicago, he makes as many calls he can to Keifer Square, and thanks to Handgun's widow, he finds out that all the Black Masks have vanished and the Conquistador's plan has already started. Making a deal with some Chicago Mobsters just to get a jetpack and extra gear to get to Honor Guard's base he claims that he's doing a job and that the mobster's will get 10% of the earnings, when Carl has no plans for that at all.
Breaking in, he's attacked by MPH and the rest of Honor Guard immediately afterward, getting them to stop Carl explains what's been happening, but because of his actions, they're not inclined to believe him and he's captured again. Breaking free of his shackles, he throws Quarrel out of the plane and goes down with it, surviving and with only one thing on his mind "Keifer Square's got only one chance left. And it ain't much of one, Lord knows. But I'm all they got. And I'm hundreds of miles away. And it's all going down tonight. So I better get moving."
