It has occurred annually since 1991, but an explanation was not forthcoming until 2014, when it was revealed that the cakes were provided by Eth of the QuiQui-A as atonement for his role in the death of Honor Guard member Stormhawk. Observations According to Kurt (via his Facebook page), Red Cake Day is in early November, but the precise date "varies due to dimensional time slippage." The types of cake provided seem to vary somewhat from year to year.
