Historical Highlights © Juke Box Productions Red Cake Day History Red Cake Day is a specific day of the year when all sorts of delicious red-colored baked goods mysteriously appear in Honor Guard's headquarters. It has occurred annually since 1991, but an explanation was not forthcoming until 2014, when it was revealed that the cakes were provided by Eth of the QuiQui-A as atonement for his role in the death of Honor Guard member Stormhawk. Observations According to creator Kurt Busiek (via his Facebook page), Red Cake Day is in early November, but the precise date "varies due to dimensional time slippage." The types of cakes provided seem to vary somewhat from year to year.
