I think it was in one of their appearances in the Dark Age Book One, where they were referred to as Monster Troops and not sure by whom. --Astrozac (talk) 22:08, 1 December 2014 (PST)

Thanks Zac! I'm counting on you to keep me honest here. My brain is on overdrive and focused as much on framework and process as it is on content. I'll do a quick check/search and if need be, undo the redirect here.

Found it! It's from some dialog of Royal Williams. Not sure it would be an official name for them, just some slangwich. What do you prefer here?

Hmmm, either sounds alright but Monstro City Troops works unless another character specifically referred to them as Monster Troops. Monstro City Troops serves as a better description too as opposed to just Monster Troops. --Astrozac (talk) 09:03, 2 December 2014 (PST)

I readded them to villains category, in addition to villain groups keeping it the same as the other villain groups which are dual listed.
Aliens just doesn't seem right to me though. While they are monster and creature like they're from Earth and this dimension. Kind of why I had Bertros as a Civilian. While he's not a human, he's a civilian in Monstro City. Maybe we need an Other Category for in betweeners and one's that don't fit elsewhere. Like Stockton and Moreton. But that might cover too much from the Unknown Alignment category... --Astrozac (talk) 23:22, 5 October 2015 (PDT)

I struggled a bit with this. I don't want to get to caught up in categories. Dynamic, creative things don't work well being put into boxes. I went with Aliens as a compromise of sorts. Alien definition doesn't limit itself to "things not of this earth" but I am fulling willing let non-earth/outer space be the demarcation point here. I removed Alien here.
I don't like "other" it winds up being a catcher for too much stuff and it is also a bit trite and overused.
I realigned Teams to be a super-set of two categories, Heroic Teams and Groups and Villainous Teams and Groups I moved all the old "Teams" to the former, and made a dent in the changing of Villainous Groups to Villainous Teams and Groups. Those new names will (I hope) help solve your comments elsewhere and the dilemma of team versus group. I also hope it keep things from fragmenting excessively.
I want to keep the site friendly to casual readers. They should be able to make sense of the Category listing (for the most part) without needed heavy guidance. Our Categories list on the left margin sometimes drift beyond that I think.
Anyway, moving from general to this specefic entry; I put Monstro City Troops in both Team Categories. Over the history of Astro City, their relationship has shifted and bent. Things are not all black and white, they are like shifting allegiances between nations, changing to suit the needs of the moment and the goals of the players. I would still like a term for the individual characters from Monstro City when they get called out here on Herocopia. Don't like civilian, we have stretched its usage significantly here as the site has evolved. --Infobroker (talk) 15:22, 6 October 2015 (PDT)
