HistoryOn March 15, 1974, while at the trendy night spot, Tallarico's, Palais and Richard Forgione date grew into a heated argument. Allegedly it was triggered by her friendship with another man. As the tensions escalated, the confrontation became physical with Forgione striking her and Palais responding by throwing a drink in his face. Before anyone could react, Forgione in a violent outburst beat her to death with a vintage wine bottle in front of restaurant full of witnesses.
FootnotesHer last name is a reference to the Palais brothers, Rudy and Walter both comic artists in their own right.
