Infidel Samaritan's arch-enemy, a slave who became an immortal mystic and mage during the Middle Ages, who's currently exiled to a floating castle in an alternate dimension. History As a young child, Infidel questioned everything relating to nature and the world around him. Unsatisfied with the lack of answers, as soon as he became old enough, he set out looking for answers on his own. Tricked into slavery, and continuously called a heretic, he eventually landed as an apprentice to an alchemist. After his master would retire to bed, young Kiyu would tap into the mysteries of the universe, unlocking secrets that far surpassed his master. His master eventually discovered what he was doing and sold him out to the authorities, whom he promptly used the dark arts to destroy and set out on his own again. Time after time he retreated to desolate lands to continue he studies, but as time went on civilization encroached around him. Tired of their deriding him as an "infidel" he took up the moniker Tired of their deriding him as an "infidel" he took up the moniker for exploring alchemy, Infidel opened a portal to the 36th century where the Earth was in ruins and humanity dead. Recruiting slaves by grabbing people from major disasters (Pompeii, the Black Plague, the Titanic), he built an empire for himself with no one to disturb him. When Samaritan changed the timestream in 1986, Infidel's future was changed. He has since repeatedly used his abilities to go back in time and try to restore the "paradise" he had made. Infidel and Samaritan have battled many, many times, Samaritan always restoring all changes to time and reality to their current state, while Infidel always manages to escape after he is thrown into custody. Eventually, they realized that neither could defeat the other and settled on a truce after destroying the world entirely. Infidel now lives in a palace outside this time stream and he and Samaritan meet once a year, each attempting to persuade the other to his point of view. Powers Infidel possesses magical abilities, has an extensive knowledge of alchemy,and can travel through time. Speculations, Theories Will Infidel be tempted by his longing for intellectual stimulation to go after Gretchen Hastings and break the fragile truce once more? While Samaritan is unlikely to ever succumb to Infidel's point of view, will Samaritan ever grow weary enough that his resistance to Infidel will finally fail?
