A city wide hysteria built over the summer of 1997. History Staring in late May, bodies began turning up on the outskirts of Shadow Hill. As the summer boiled on hotter and hotter, more bodies began to turn up. The public at large became frustrated with the ineffective of local officials and the inability of the super powered beings to find the killer. This was also exacerbated by the unknown infiltration of alien forces into places of trust and high power. Details are covered in the Enelsian Invasion story synopsis. With the Confessor having been revealed as a vampire, it was believed he was the actual killer. Yet, even after his death, another mutilated body was found. he final solution was revealed later that same night. Gigantic Projected images appeared over the city of the Hanged Man and a hideous creature, one straight out of Lovecraft's lore, engaged in a feice battle. Eventually the the killer was vanquished once and for all.
